David Wright Loses His Cool

Now THIS is something you don't see every day. In the ninth inning of today's game, with Jason Bay on second base and having already struck out three times on the day, David Wright took a pitch for a called strike three and promptly LOST IT. Here's the video of the San Francisco broadcast, where you can more clearly hear what he's saying to the umpire:

I can see why he was angry - it was clearly a ball. Of course, with two strikes you really ought to be protecting the plate.

In any event, it's interesting and it's worth watching. It sucks that D-Wright is struggling right now, but he's a real competitor and he's going to come out of it sooner rather than later.
